This scrumptious Greek yogurt apple dip comes together in less than two minutes and is packed with healthy fats and protein.

Thick, luscious, and wonderfully creamy, this Greek yogurt apple dip is a quick, nutritious treat. It’s perfect with sliced apples, and also delicious with bananas or pears. Try it as a topping for pancakes or waffles instead of syrup for a protein-rich alternative.
My kids enjoy it as a weekend mid-morning snack, after school, or packed in an insulated lunchbox during the week. If you plan to pack this dip for school, soak apple slices briefly to prevent browning: mix one cup water with one tablespoon lemon juice, soak slices three to four minutes, then drain and pat dry.
This recipe is vegetarian by default and can be made vegan by using a plant-based Greek-style yogurt. It’s simple, wholesome, and adaptable to your pantry.
Ingredients and substitutions
This Greek yogurt apple dip uses five easy ingredients. Follow the recipe for best results, but here are safe substitutions if you need them.

- Peanut butter: Use high-quality smooth peanut butter (ideally 100% peanuts). If you’re allergic or prefer another flavor, swap for tahini or another nut or seed butter.
- Agave syrup: Agave works well, but maple syrup or honey are equal swaps. To reduce carbs, use liquid stevia sparingly (about 1/6 to 1/4 teaspoon, to taste).
- Ground cinnamon: Cinnamon complements the apples—leave it in unless you dislike it. A pinch of nutmeg is a nice optional addition.
- Vanilla extract: Vanilla adds warmth; omit if you prefer.
- Greek yogurt: Plain unsweetened full-fat Greek yogurt gives the creamiest texture. Regular natural yogurt works but will be slightly thinner; avoid strongly flavored yogurts that can overpower the dip.
How to make it

Making this dip takes only a couple of minutes. Measure the peanut butter—⅓ cup (about 95 g), which is roughly five tablespoons plus one teaspoon. If you prefer weight, use 95 g.
Add one container of Greek yogurt (about 5.3 oz U.S. pot or roughly 150 g). Stir in 2 tablespoons agave nectar (or maple syrup or honey), ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, and ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon.
Fold the ingredients together with a fork until the mixture loosens, then whisk briskly until smooth and pale brown. The dip should be thick and creamy, ready to serve immediately.

This dip is excellent with apples, pears, or bananas, and works well as a spread on pancakes or waffles. Use your favorite apple variety—Granny Smith is a crisp, tart match to the sweet, nutty dip. The recipe yields enough for three to four large apples (about three to four servings).
Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
