3-Ingredient Crescent Hot Dog Rollups – fluffy, buttery appetizer bites perfect for parties and lunchboxes

Simple in appearance but seriously addictive, these mini rollups are one of those recipes that always come through when you need a crowd-pleaser or a quick kid-friendly meal. They’re easy to prepare, fun to make with little helpers, and versatile enough to adapt to what you have on hand. If you’re feeding a picky eater, these bite-sized treats are a great option — they’ve earned approval at my house!

You can use store-bought crescent roll dough or your favorite homemade dough or pizza dough; just slice it thin since the dough will puff up as it bakes. Not into hot dogs? Swap in smoked sausage, sliced ham or chicken, or even cooked vegetables and cheese. Crescent dough is a flexible base for adding protein, cheese, and vegetables for both adults and children.

Party-friendly crescent roll hot dog bites

The recipe calls for just three main ingredients: crescent dough, hot dogs, and an optional sprinkle of poppy seeds for a finishing touch. Serve with ketchup and mustard, or try a spicy Sriracha-ketchup blend for older kids and adults. These little rollups are quick to assemble and bake in about ten minutes.

To prepare, cut the crescent dough triangles in half lengthwise so you have thin strips, wrap each strip around a third of a hot dog, place on a baking sheet, and sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired. Bake until golden brown. That’s all it takes to make an adorable appetizer or a fun addition to a lunchbox.
